This call is dedicated to organizations and cultural institutions legally residing in the outermost regions and overseas countries and territories

 

 

  

 

Coordinated by the Institut français (Paris, France), in partnership with the Overseas Countries and Territories Association (Brussels, Belgium) and the Agência de Promoção da Cultura Atlântica (Madeira, Portugal), the pilot project Archipel.eu, co-financed by the European Union, aims to preserve and promote the culture of the outermost regions of the European Union and the Overseas Countries and Territories. 

 

 

In accordance with the 2003 UNESCO Convention, this fund aims to safeguard and promote the intangible cultural heritage, popular arts and practices, and ancestral cultures of the Outermost Regions of the European Union (ORs) and the Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTs). 

 

 


 

 

Who is the call for projects for?

 

Cultural organizations or institutions active and residing in the Outermost Regions or the Overseas Countries and Territories 

 

The projects supported by this call fall within the fields defined by the 2003 UNESCO Convention, namely:

 

• oral traditions and expressions, including language as a vector of intangible cultural heritage;

• performing arts;

• social practices, rituals and festive events;

• knowledge and practices concerning nature and the universe;

• know-how related to traditional craftsmanship.

    

  

How are the projects selected?  

 

The projects will be evaluated according to the various criteria specified in the call for projects.

 

 

 


 

 

 

Deadline: February 13, 2022

Announcement of results: March 13, 2022 at the latest
